How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight is a charming children's story with bright colors, interesting pictures, and quaint rhymes to keep even the youngest of children interested. Written by Jane Yolen, this book captured my sons attention the moment he saw the giant dinosaur on the front.

This book is fantastic for young kids as it gives them a unique glimpse into how ridiculous they look when they pout and complain and whine and cry upon going to bed. It shows a dinosaur compliantly getting under the covers, giving his parents a kiss, and turning out the light. As a mother of a young boy, I can assure you that watching a dinosaur do those things has way more pull than you telling them to do those things :)

This book is fantastic for parents too as it is not boring or dull to read. It is interesting, short, fast-paced, and cute. It drives home good manners and is full of teachable moments such as pointing out various colors or explaining what kind of dinosaur is on the page. Each picture has the name of the individual dinosaur under it and my son loves to go through all the pictures learning about each one.

Overall, I highly recommend this book to parents of children any age but more specifically between the ages of 2 and 4.
