Outback Steakhouse on Low Carb / Atkins

The Outback Steakhouse is known for its steak-and-barbie traditional good food. I found this to be a superb place for people on a low carb diet.
First off, they have a nice wine list, so you can choose a wine that goes well with your food selection. That adds to the healthy antioxidants and flavor!
Many of the appetizers involve potatoes, but I had the broccoli soup, which was very good. The salads are also quite good. None of the plain-lettuce you find at other restaurants - this salad had cucumbers, onions, nice tomatoes, lots of cheese. With some oil and vinegar over the top, I was tracking down the last tidbits to enjoy.
For the main dinner, your choices are great. There are steak dishes, pork dishes, chicken dishes, and fish dishes, all with a great selection of mixed vegetables. I had the grilled swordfish. It was super! My tablemate had the pork and another had a steak. We were all trading bites and enjoying them immensely. There was so much that we all had leftovers, too.
Definitely a good spot to have a fun, relaxing dinner, low carb style!
UPDATE: We recently were out in a mall area looking for dinner. We stopped at a Pub 99 but were reminded how awful the menu was there while waiting for a table. So we went over to the Outback and were thrilled again! The waitress was super interested in the diet too, and there are so many options to choose from that it was easy and delicious. I had mahi-mahi and my boyfriend had steak. Delicious! And that salad ... I mop up every bite!
