Here are some details and explanations about Evernote to help you better understand the dynamics and use of Evernote for anything you want to remember. While Evernote works like stick notes or a notepad of sorts, it does offer you more capabilities. There's really nothing you can't do with Evernote. This is the actual Evernote website where you will be able to access your notes where ever there is an internet connection. Therefore you will never be without your notes, content or information. Once you have registered for an account, you can now downloaded Evernote to your computer for easy access. Whenever I go on my computer I always have Evernote open so that I can save notes, ideas and thoughts as I come across them. It is a great companion for my writing endeavors and even some of my personal endeavors as well. Once downloaded Evernote has the capability of syncing itself with your online Evernote web account. The synchronization runs in the background and saves everything you put into it. There is no need for a save button because it saves and syncs itself automatically.

Then there's the Evernote Web Clipper that is added as an extension to your web browser. Now while online you have access and can use it to clip anything you want to save for later or want to remember. With the Evernote web clipper it will ask you to sign into your account in order to use it.Once signed in you are able to just clip away to your hearts desire.

Now when using Evernote Web Clipper you have the option of choosing what you want to clip, such as the whole page, just the article or the URL. One thing I did notice is when you highlight a piece of text it includes the highlighted portion of your text in its options for clipping.

Now that we have covered the details of the application, let's look at the components that make up Evernote so awesome in my opinion. Evernote is made up of notes, notebooks and stacks. Three simple components.

* Notes - Just like you write notes to remind yourself of things or to keep track of projects etc. Evernote notes works the same way. The advantage being that you can continue to add to your notes as you find material that lines up with the title or topic of your note. You can add tags, comments and web sources to your note as well as content and text. The maximum amount of notes you can have on a free account is 100,000 with each one maxing out at 25 megabytes for free account and 50 megabytes for Premium users.

* Notebooks - They hold all your notes under one topic or subject, offering you maximized ability to keeping your projects or writing organized and easy to access. You are allowed to have a maximum 250 synchronized Notebooks (including Notebook Stacks). The good thing here is that all 250 notebooks can be shared and there is no limit on the number of Local Notebooks (which aren't synced) you can have. (Local notebooks are notebooks you can create on your computer for your personal use.)

* Stacks - are place holders for all the notebooks you create. Stacks are used to group notebooks together on a specific topic or subject. They are also included in the count of how many notebooks you can have. Stacks are like file cabinets that contain many folders (notebooks) with a number of files (notes) contained in each.

Now with that said it is worth mentioning that you are also allowed to create a maximum of 10,000 tags for your Evernote account and are able to have 100 saved searches as well.
