Life As A Blonde
A vast majority of people seems to agree. Blondes attract attention on a crowded room or walking down the street. This year there is even a day just for blondes. National Blonde Day is July 9th.
The author of the column "Ask The Blonde" had this to say about being blonde.
"I FEEL more feminine and glamorous when I am blonde. I FEEL like people pay more attention to me and to what I say. …being blonde boosts my self-image and in that way boosts my self-esteem." For "Ask The Blonde" I chose "the Blonde"
because blondes do not intimidate others, are very approachable, and often draw people´s attention."
In my experience, women who visit a hair salon looking for a color change will choose blonde, most of the time.
With the multitude of blonde shades, it is a color that can be formulated to "fit" virtually every complexion making it the most popular of colors. So if you are thinking about taking the plunge, summer is the best time for your blonde ambitions.
There are as many ways to go blonde as there are shades of blonde desired. For those who are not sure about making a commitment, there is highlighting. The hair around the face can be highlighted giving a brighter look or strands all over the complete head can be lightened for a blonder look. A subtle highlighting gives a natural sunny that can be grown out painlessly without the need of a monthly touchup. There are kits in the stores with easy to follow directions, however if your hair is dark or if you want to make more than a subtle change, I suggest that you consult a professional.
If you are looking for all out glamour and are ready for the full commitment of monthly upkeep, go for the all-over lighter color. There are also kits in the store for this however there is a much larger margin for error. The first application of color may work out beautifully but the successive months of touch-up may cause problems with evenness of color and condition of the hair. I always suggest professional service in this area for the most beautiful hair color.
Having been a redhead most of my life, I was starting to feel slighted, until I remembered the
Blonde Jokes I have heard. It is possible that a certain amount of self-confidence and patience is a prerequisite to being blonde.
