The Deliciously Slim bars say LOW CARB on their front in big letters. They're made for a low carb diet. How do they stack up against the other bars on the market?

We are big fans of low carb bars in general so we thought we'd give these a try. Deliciously Slim currently makes four flavors:

* Chocolate Fudge Cake
* Chocolate Peanut Butter
* Chocolate Raspberry
* Chocolate Mint

I think you see the theme there :) And being a big fan of chocolate, I thought this was great.



Unfortunately, these bars are more of a soy-protein bar with slight flavoring than a real low carb bar. We found the bars to be all on the gooey side, with little texture, little flavor and not really filling. While other bars we've tried were either great candy bars or great brownie bars or great energy bars, this one just isn't much of anything.

Yes, at 3g per bar they're efficient. They're gluten free, lactose free, wheat free, yeast free. So they might be the only choice for someone with severe allergies. They're just not the first bar we'd reach for as far as enjoyability.
