As a four-person band from England, Talk To Angels are loud, impassioned and ready to make their name known in the world of alternative rock. With vivid songs about guilt, pleasure and pain, TTA have a dramatic musical presence that lets the world know that they’re serious about what they do.

Formed in 2008 and located in Leeds/Bradford, UN, Talk To Angels had been playing together for quite awhile before they actually began taking their band seriously. With an indie/pop sound, TTA members include Mickey Dale (keyboard/vocals), Craig Kaye (guitar/vocals), Lee Waud (bass/vocals) and George Riley (drums). During their first public year, they were selected for the 2008 CMJ New York, and they also toured and played at venues like The Knitting Factory in Los Angeles and even at the Obama Election night ceremony.

In 2009, Talk To Angels were selected for the SXSW in Austin, Texas, as well as the Liverpool Sound City. It was also during May of 2009 that their debut single, titled “Enemies Closer,” was debuted.

With a sound that is reminiscent of At The Drive-In and Kings Of Leon, Talk To Angels still has the raw ability to make their songs sound unique and full of talent that has yet to hit its peak.

Now signed by record label Warp Speed Carousel, Talk To Angels has their latest LP set to be released in mid 2012. Their latest single is titled “Hickory Dickory,” and was released on January 30th, 2012 as an album preview track. It is this song that has attracted much feedback from fans and critics alike. “Hickory Dickory” has a raw, youthful charm that is perfect for a lead single. Both the single and the album were produced by band member Mickey Dale, Will Jackson (The Cribs, The Pigeon Detectives, The Music) and James Kenosha, who is an increasingly influential East Yorkshire-based producer.

In my opinion, Talk To Angels are just up my alley. I love the fact that they sing with relatable lyrics, loud but not overly heavy beats, and contain just the right amount of passion and enthusiasm to make their songs unique, likeable and filled with raw talent. I have a feeling that TTA has a lot more to show us, and I can’t wait to see what else they’ve been working on with their upcoming album.
