Bravenet Newsletter Program - Subscribers List
In the previous tutorial you learned how to set up the Bravenet Mailing List program. In this tutorial we will go through the steps to maintain your newsletter subscribers list. Log in to the Bravenet Members Area and go to the Mailing List Service Manager page. Find the Maintenance section and let's get started. Bulk Import If you already have a subscribers list you can transfer (or import) your list into the Bravenet program. Your list needs to be in plain text format and with one email address per line. Most of the time, your list is already in this format. If not, you will need to create an import list. MicrosoftR Notepad is a good text editor to use for this. Open your text editor and type one email address on each line. Remember that the maximum number of subscribers for the Bravenet program is 500. first email address second email address third email address Once you have your subscribers list ready, it is easy to import the list into the Bravenet program. You should already be in the Maintenance section, so click on the Bulk Import button. On the Import List page you will see the input box. Copy and paste your subscribers list into this box and click the Start Bulk Import Process button. Next you will see a confirmation message telling you how many subscribers were added successfully. Note that if you tried to import an email address that is already on the list the Bravenet program will automatically reject that address. This is a nice feature when you are working with a lot of addresses. Now click on the Return To Manager button. Pending Subscribers All of the owners of the email addresses that you imported will automatically be sent an email message requesting that subscriber complete the Opt-In process. Until they do this, the email addresses will be held in a Pending Subscribers list. You can check this pending subscribers list to verify that your subscribers list was imported correctly. You should now be back at the Service Manager page. Go to the Subscribers section and click on the Pending Subscribers button. On the Manage List page, click All to see the list of the pending subscribers. They will be held in this pending file for 7 days. The program will then automatically remove any subscribers that do not complete the Opt-In process. Next → |
