Chapter 5 Order of the Phoenix: The Order of the Phoenix. Harry realizes this dingy house he's in belongs to Sirius Black, his godfather. The evil woman in the portrait on the wall is his mother. Harry meets Mundungus, a pile of rags that was supposed to be guarding him. Apparently Mundungus is a criminal type that is valued for those connections.
The group all has dinner together, but then Sirius says that Harry deserves to be able to ask a few questions. Mrs. Weasley accuses Sirius of thinking Harry is his fun friend, James, instead of realizing he's still the son, the boy that should be cared for.
Harry is told that the ministry - Cornelius Fudge - refuses to admit that Voldemort is back. That Dumbledore is busy gathering a resistance but that Cornelius thinks there is nothing wrong.
Sirius tells them that Voldemort is after a powerful weapon, but Mrs. Weasley comes in at this point and insists that they've told Harry quite enough. She says that only of-age wizards that have left school can join the Order, and that it is time for them to get to bed.
