Your Vehicle Needs Sunscreen Too
Just as we need protection from the sun's harmful UV rays, our vehicles need protection also. My car(s) sits on the street in front of my home. We do not have a garage. On most sunny days, I can rest assure that my car has its sunscreen protection. You see, I wax our car(s) every Saturday morning like clockwork. I have set aside this time every week until it is too cold to wax, polish and detail them.
When I purchased my car 4 years ago, I made a commitment to myself AND to my car that I would take the best care because I certainly cannot afford to buy another car anytime soon.
I went to Auto Zone and began the process of testing products and since this is the ONLY place I bought my car care products at the time, the price was definitely a factor in choosing which product. Now, I buy most of my products at Wal-Mart. Their prices are always better. The downside is that Wal-Mart's selection is smaller. They do, however, carry most all of what I consider the best of the best ie. Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax, Spray Wax, Eagle One Nano products etc. I have tried SEVERAL, and I mean SEVERAL products and I usually end up buying Meguiar's NXT Generation products and Eagle One Products.
I had no idea that even the Car Wash was important. Meguiar's NXT Generation Car Wash cleans and shines like you expect Meguiar's to clean and shine! What you put on your car is just as important as what you put on your skin. Which brings me to the point...wax is sunscreen for your finish. It has synthetic polymers and/or Carnuba(oils) that are applied onto your finish to protect it from those harmful UV rays.
I'm not saying that you have to wax your car every weekend by any means. I do it because I drive my car across the highway to and from work everyday AND it sits in a parking lot all day while I am working. I feel I HAVE to give it extra protection--thus my car has a deep, dark color and shines like a mirror. Although I use Eagel One and Meguiar's NXT Generation products, I suggest you try what you believe will work for you.
