Gail Kavanagh is a freelance writer and reviewer living in Queensland, Australia. Now retired, she has worked as a newspaper reporter with considerable experience in the entertainment and movie reviewing fields.
Gail’s appreciation of science fiction and fantasy started early in life, when her father took her to see Tobor the Great, a movie about a young boys friendship with the robot invented by his grandfather. Gail watched the first run season of Star Trek, read boy’s comics because girl’s comic didn’t do stories about space travel, and was an enthusiastic participant in SF/fantasy fandom.
But Gail isn’t just a fan of the old classics. Her interest in science fiction and fantasy movies goes well into the 21st Century and beyond, encompassing computer animation and anime. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is a current favourite.
Gail is active on the Internet as a contributor to Constant Content and Helium, and as the author several books at Lulu.com.
