Susan Dorling has written professionally since 2000 on an eclectic range of topics, specializing in articles about jewelry, crafts and decorating. She collects jewelry such as vintage costume, Native American, Mexican silver, artisan and more and also designs her own line of handcrafted jewelry. Susan enjoys sharing her love of jewelry with other jewelry aficionados and is delighted to be able to reach so many through the Jewelry Collecting site (formerly the editor 2006-2008). Susan completed postgraduate courses in Creative Writing, Nonfiction and Poetry through the University of Toronto. She is also a published poet and short story writer. In 1976, Al Purdy, the late and prolific Canadian Poet and Editor, chose one of her poems for inclusion in "A Canadian Anthology: Storm Warning ll."

Susan writes from first-hand knowledge and expertise in many topics.
