There are three preset interfaces geared to the simple, junior and advanced student. Teachers can also design their own interface to meet their classroom needs. Included with the software are an activity guide and several animated demos that demonstrate how to use the software features. It does not try to compete with the graphic software that has a lot of bells and whistles. It is a digital canvas with digital paints. It is meant to be use by the artist as a starting point before committing an idea to traditional canvas. It can also be a tool for teaching art. One of the special features is the control the artist has over 3D aspects such as lighting, resulting in greater control over textural effects. Deep PaintR can be used as a stand along program or as a plug-in for PhotoshopR. This freeware is no longer supported by Right Hemisphere. However, you can download a copy from Download.com Publisher's Website PainterR from CorelR Commercial (free demo) PainterR has been around for some time now. It was originally created by Fractal Design and was taken over by CorelR with version 7. As for realism, PainterR is up there with the best.
