Healthy Diet Not Working for Weightloss?

There are various reasons you may not be losing weight even if you're on a healthy diet. The truth about why you're not shedding massive amounts of weight even though you're "eating healthy" isn't as easy to swallow as a plate of your least favorite veggies but if you're serious about getting healthy and being lean for life you'll eventually have to start following the advice listed below.

1. Even if the food you're eating is super healthy it may not be right for your metabolic type. I struggled with this big time when I was losing my weight. Everybody and their grandma was on some low carb diet and getting amazing results. So I decided to try try it too but it did nothing for me. It actually made me feel horrible; bloated, exhausted, hungry, angry, depressed plus I lost no weight. I turns out I'm a carb type who can stay lean on 200+g of carbs a day but it took years for me to figure this out. Try taking the metabolic typing diet test to find out if this is your issue.

2. You're not working out consistently and you refuse to accept that regular exercise must be part of your weightloss plan. Most humans live very sedentary lives so getting daily exercise is a requirement if you want to shed pounds. It doesn't matter how healthy your diet is, if you don't move enough your body will not lose weight.

3. Your body is under tons of stress but you don't ever bother to address this. Chronic stress wreaks havoc on your hormones and your adrenals which are key players in the weightloss game. It's not enough to just exercise or eat healthy. You must also manage your stress. Get help from Holistic health expert Sean Croxton of Underground Wellness.

4. You're surviving on minimal amounts of sleep and you're proud of it. Sleep deprivation is closely tied to balanced hormones so if you think not sleeping isn't a big deal think again. The minimum for weightloss is 8 hours. Need more convincing? Check out Sean's health and weightloss videos and learn just how much of an effect sleep deprivation has on health and weight.

5. Your diet may not be as "healthy" as you think it is. Go ahead and get angry. I did too when somebody pointed this out to me years ago. The fact is many of us think we eat healthy but we either don't do it consistently (90% of the time) or what we think is healthy really isn't that healthy. Need advice about how to eat healthy? Stop listening to the diet gurus and start listening to holistic health experts who focus on restoring balance and health.

6. You're exercise program has no direction or it's too boring, too easy, or not balanced. The obligatory daily cardio does not = weightloss and recent research studies have found that relying on cardio alone actually slows down metabolism. Not sure how to exercise to lose weight? Check out the best exercise to lose weight.

7. You're focused on everything you can't have or can't do instead of focused on what you can eat and have the ability to do. Negativity is one of the biggest reasons so many lack motivation, persistence, and/or flexibility in their weightloss programs. Start thinking like a positive person who can lose weight and you will. Imagine you're already there and you'll get there even faster. It's what helps so many of my clients reach their goals.
