I just had to jump back in, I tried to hang up my planning apron -- and forget about all the great events that we created, but I just could not do it. It started with an email, a young girl was getting married in 4 months and she had done nothing. It was not for lack of trying but lack of money. She was informed that there was plenty of money, no worries....when it came to book the hall and arrange everything that goes along with the wedding, there was no cash to be had, so to speak. She was then informed, maybe they could scrape together four thousand dollars.
The amount for the wedding would have been fine but she had already invited 150 people. This was starting to push envelope a little. She was desperate, no one was listening to her and the time was just ticking away. I could not ignore this email. There was another small hitch -- the wedding was in California, I am in Washington State. No problem, I know I am long winded here but it feels amazing to be back, and doing what I love. I am only fifty after all.
I guess really where I am going here, you have to examine your budget and plan accordingly. These days there are so many options for having beautiful services, food, decor -- any of the items you so desire. I got on the phone with several venues in California, talked to Caterers, Florists and there are some amazing people out there. I am going to list a couple of places that were very accommodating, these places really went above and beyond to help out in the situation.
They have not paid me to sing the praise, I am not affiliated with either of these companies, I do not stand to make money of of these companies, I just think they are great people.
Her we go just something to think about, a paddle wheeler. How can you go wrong with a beautiful wedding event on the water.

Thank you both for attempting to help out a girl and her dreams, for that my hats off to you. It is great when it is not all about money.
This is Sandra Sable signing off until next time, lets talk weddings.
