I’ve made an appointment at a bridal salon to choose my wedding dress. I know I am supposed to have an idea of what type of wedding dress I want but because I run marathons with my fiancé, my body type isn’t typical. I am 5’9 and 133lbs but many dresses I have seen in wedding magazines would make me look like Olive Oil.

Dressing for your body type is key to looking your best on your wedding day. If you have a tall and thin figure you want to tell the woman at the bridal salon that you are interested in off the shoulder wedding dress styles. Wedding dress styles with tiers and flounces, a natural waist, sheath and a full skirt would also be appropriate for you. My sister is 6 feet tall and when she was my bridesmaid she never looked like Olive Oil because she wore a dress with a natural waist.
