Tattoo Shoes

With the growing popularity of tattooing comes the growing popularity of tattoo clothing and apparel. After all, ink-themed clothing let's you have almost as much artwork for a fraction of the commitment. And one trend I've really been enjoying is the abundance of tattooed shoes!

New shoe company J. Fishkicks features a shoe decorated by tv tattoo artist Cris Garver, who is part of the shop crew from Miami Ink. Started by Jason Fishbein while he was still a student at the University of Miami, he's just starting to expand his market beyond his South Beach boutique location.

Chooka is known for their great adult and kids rainboots and now both lines feature fun tattoo designs. "Tattoo City" is a mix of classic flash, while the women's "Koi Tattoo" boot features a large carp and water design that wraps around the entire boot.

And recently athletic shoe icon Nike, Inc. commissioned LA tattooist Mister Cartoon to design several lines of limited edition shoes with tattoo designs on them. Known best for his tattoo work, as worn by Travis Barker and Eminem, he's now adapted his signature fine-line style to foot wear.

Tattoo artist Ed Hardy is famous world-wide for his tattoos, and now that he's mostly retired from tattooing, he's put his talents to work designing tattoo designs for a range of clothing and apparel. His shirts, shoes and bathing suits have been a recent hit with the LA/celebrity set.
