Unique Entertainment in Oklahoma

With spring heading into summer and the temperatures on the rise, Oklahoma is gearing up for a season full of fun. But this state offers more than your average run-of-the-mill fairs and festivals. No, the residents of this state invite both locals and visitors to experience some rather, shall we say, more interesting diversions. Yes, head to these Oklahoma events, and you’ll come away with quite a collection of unforgettable memories.

Okeene Rattlesnake Roundup

Billed as the “oldest rattlesnake hunt in the world,” this free event is at once both exciting and scary. Visitors can see which entrant is deemed the “longest snake,” check out the Den of Death and take a train ride on the Caboose Excursion. More than 10,000 folks are expected to turn out for this year’s event, so prepare for a crowd.

Pepperfest

Taking place in Blanchard, Pepperfest welcomes visitors to put their willpower to the test in the stuffed jalapeno-eating contest. If that’s too much for you, then take a stroll through the craft fair and car show. A children’s activity area also will be on site at this free festival.

Doggy Derby

Balloons Over Hugo
