When the year is done, the plants continue to grow, but Mrs. Spitzer's job is done. She gets a new pack of seeds from the principal. This book makes a wonderful gift for that special teacher who also enjoys gardening. However, children will also enjoy the story of this teacher's garden, even if they don't catch the metaphor.
