General tips:

You can change the size of any brush or tool as needed. The controls are in the Tool Options palette.
When working with a 200 or larger resolution, the image will look larger than it should. To get a more accurate view, click View > Zoom > Zoom Out.
If you want to remove what you have drawn, click on the Undo button on the Standard toolbar. This can be done repeatedly to remove several steps in reverse sequence.
If any of the toolbars (or palettes) are not visible, click View > Toolbars (or Palettes) to display them on the workspace.

To setup the rulers in the Image Window on the Paint Shop Pro workspace version 7, 8 and 9:

If the rulers are not visible in the Image Window, click View > Rulers.
The default unit of measurement for the Ruler is pixels. To change this to Inches or Centimeters click File > Preferences > General Program Preferences.
When the Paint Shop Pro Preferences dialog box opens, click on the Rulers and Units tab (version 7) or the Units tab (version 8 and 9).
In the Rulers section, set the Display Units to Inches, Centimeters or Pixels from the drop-down list.
Click OK.
