Nominees For 'Premio lo Nuestro 2004' Latin Music Awards

"Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina" is the oldest and very popular Latin music award program in the United States. There are 180 nominations in 32 categories with Latin music's hottest recording artists making the list of nominees for 2004. The winners will be announced Thursday, February 26 from 8-11 pm ET/PT (7-10 pm Central/Mountain) during a three-hour live telecast on the Univision Network.

The ceremony is set to take place at the Miami Arena in Miami, Florida. Adal Ramones is the host of the show, which will feature exciting performances by many of the nominated artists. The awards show is a highly rated program among Hispanics in the United States, watched by more than five million Hispanic viewers.

The "Premio Lo Nuestro" awards are given out yearly to the finest talent in the Latin music industry, recognizing excellence in five genres: Pop, Tropical, Regional Mexican, Rock, and Urban. Chosen from charts compiled by the well-known industry publication Radio & Records, this year's nominees include internationally famous superstars such as Thalía, Ricky Martin, Shakira, Juanes, David Bisbal, Maná, Olga Tañón, Marc Anthony, Pepe Aguilar, and Vicente Fernández. The voting public via http://www.univision.com will determine the winners.
