A number of years ago the term ezine was quite popular online. Not so much today. Does that mean that writers can’t find good ezines or newsletters to help them hone their craft and find markets to sell their prose to? Not at all. It simply means more digging.

To help you past the digging stage of endless searching online, I have compiled a list of ezines and newsletters that still offer good content to help you in your writing.

A nice easy site to manage. They cover Calls for Submissions, Contests, Writer Services. They have a good selection of articles and a list of forums. The Newsletter signup box is on the right hand side.

Here you will find book reviews, a way to meet authors, writing contests, free stuff just to name a few. They also have a service where you can discover new authors and read a first chapter excerpt. If you are looking to advertise your new book, you can do that here as well. In addition they have a weekly writing tip.

This ezine is written by a writer earning a living writing! Cheryl is an Australian writer. Her cute site offers articles on: Time Management, Children’s Writing, Copywriting, Freelance Writing, Romance Writing and Niche Writing. Scroll down a bit and you will find the ezine sign up box on the right hand side.

Their twice monthly newsletter includes information you will not find on their website. It includes: The Inquiring Writer where you can find answers to your writing questions. Free Stuff for writers a guide to free writer resources. The Writing Desk, tips and advice. Jobs, Opportunities and Markets. A section on Contests. They also have a writing news section.

Here you will find lively articles covering a lot of interesting topics. Some of their most popular articles are about: Improving your writing by using grammatical openers. A Q & A section for selling your greeting card verses. They also have some great sources for writing news.

This site is by the Freelance Writing Organization International. Their site is a huge free database of thousands of links for writers. Their weekly ezine brings you urgent writing news and updates to keep you ahead of other writers.
