Whether it's garlic, pickles, ketchup or other "things" you add to your meals, condiments often come with a carb and calorie cost. It's important that these values are added into your daily intake and accounted for. Here are the carb counts for many of your favorite condiments.

Most values here are for 1 tablespoon unless otherwise indicated. The carbs stated are effective carbs.

Capers: 0.1g
Cheese (1 slice): 6g
Dijon mustard: 0.5g
Pickle (1): 1.9g
Garlic (1): 0.9g
Ginger slide: 0.8g
Honey (1 tsp): 5.8g
Ketchup: 4.0g
Mustard: 0.6g
Olives, black: 0.7g
Olives, green: 2.5g
Pepper (1 tsp): 0.3g
Relish: 6g
Salt: 0g
Soy sauce: 0.9g
Special Sauce (McDonald's Big Mac): 3g
Steak Sauce (A-1): 3g
Vinegar, balsamic: 2.3g
Vinegar, cider: 0.9g
Vinegar, red wine: 0g
Vinegar, rice: 3.0g
Vinegar, white wine: 1.5g
Worcestershire sauce (1 tsp): 0.9g
Vinegar, sherry: 0.9g
