Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  • 10 medium russet potatoes
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 T. butter
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk

Preparation -
Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes. Place in a large pot of water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 25 to 30 minutes or until tender. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a skillet and saute the minced garlic until tender. When the potatoes are cooked, drain off the water. Mash the potatoes with an electic mixer at low to medium speed. Mix in the the sour cream and milk until the mashed potatoes are smooth and creamy, adding additional milk if needed for the desired consistency. Stir in the sauteed garlic. This will make about 8 to 10servings.
